VOLUNTEER EXAMINER TEAM (VE'S)

The ARC sponsors Amateur Radio Volunteer Examiner Test Sessions each month. Our VE sessions are the Third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM. The sessions are conducted at the Madison County Emergency Operations Center (EOC), 200 North Delaware Street in Anderson. Come to the building at the base of the 350 foot communications tower. Walk-ins are welcome.

See Directions to Test Site for maps and aids to locate the EOC.

Our club has conducted monthly test sessions since March, 2011. In 2019 our sessions resulted in 47 candidates obtaining 28 new licenses and 16 upgrades. Our club feels that this is a great way to give back to our hobby and to increase the overall ranks of Amateur Radio operators.

Candidates from all over central Indiana find our testing sessions to be convenient to their busy schedules. Other organizations in the State conduct testing sessions on weekends, so we offer an alternative opportunity.

Contact information can be found on the ARRL Web Site (The Volunteer Examiner Coordinator for our team). Click here to find amateur radio license exam sessions on the ARRL web site. Enter ZIP code 46016 or your home ZIP code.

All applicants for a license must be registered with the FCC and have an FCC Registration Number (FRN). To obtain an FRN or to change your address or other information on file with the FCC, see instructions here.
